Check the Butt Tag
Approximately 5.75 x 8 inches oil pastels and gouache on handmade cotton paper
This one’s called “Check the Butt Tag” because every few years my sister has a minor freak out over Beanie Babies and she was due one and it came while I was painting this and she calls and says “Do you remember our Beanie Babies?” and I say “Yes, I remember our Beanie Babies” and she goes “Oh my gosh I think they’re worth a ton now. The ones with errors are worth more. Check the butt tags” and I humor her and always check the tags yes they’re “rare” Beanie Babies but a lot of people have them and I’ve never had the courage to tell you what I’m about to tell you so here goes. Sister, I don’t think we will make any money off our Beanie Babies but I will always keep checking the butt tags for you I’M SORRY YOU NEEDED TO HEAR THIS.
